Sunday Fund
“Do
not cast me away when I am old." -
Psalm 71:9
Our
commitment to ministry in the name of Christ
echoes our rich faith heritage and
especially that of the Methodist
movement. For almost 300 years the
people called Methodists has been passionate
about helping those in need. Like the
millions who have gone before us, we hear
God's call to serve older adults in the
Spirit of Christian love.
What is The Sunday
Fund?
A benevolence fund designed to assist elders
living on any of Methodist Senior
Services’ eleven campuses.
Who Benefits?
Elders living at an MSS facility who have
outlived their financial resources and can
no longer afford the cost of housing and/or
care. Your gift to The Fund helps preserve
the dignity of elders who must ask for help.
Important
Facts about The Sunday Fund
- Every
year there is an increase in both the
number and size of resident Sunday Fund
requests. Your help is crucial to our
ability to keep pace with the growing
needs of those we serve.
- The level
of assistance we can offer elders is directly
related to the balance available in The
Fund.
- MMSS
does not receive an apportionment from
the Methodist Conference.
- 100% of
the money donated to The Sunday Fund is
used to support elders.
- Without
Sunday Fund grants, there are men and
women who could no longer maintain their
residency on one of our eleven campuses.
